Oscar winning actor Sir Sir Mark Rylance, screenwriter Olivia Hetreed, and producer Andy Paterson, have been announced as patrons for the Purbeck Film Festival, which celebrates its 27th year this year.

Rylance said of the appointment 'I'm really proud to be patron - my thanks go out to all the people who donate their money, energy and their spaces for these films to be shown. It means an incredible amount to young filmmakers to have their films shown at festivals'.
